The most popular and accomplished Balkan band in North America "Izgrev" (Sunrise"), has been performing since 1998. It is the only Bulgarian "wedding" band in the Midwest. The members of the band are all native Bulgarians. Every member of the group is an accomplished musician and, all together, they are eager to share with Americans and Bulgarians the vibrant musical colors of traditional Bulgarian folk and pop-folk music.

Izgrev has performed for various folkdance gatherings in the Midwestern US. Their repertoire reaches far beyond the borders of Bulgaria with a firm grip on a variety of Balkan music! In 2001, the orchestra has come out with their first CD album, "Live At The Basement", which features original compositions along with "live" recordings. These amazing performers bring their music to Toronto for first time.
